Awards Competition is sponsored by NWSMTA and takes place at Harper College, Music Instruction center, building P.

Students enter in one of five categories, based upon their grade and age. The categories are Primary, Elementary, Junior, Intermediate, and Senior.  Each category has a list of required pieces, from which students and their teachers choose two. Each students will receive constructive comments from judges. Winners who receive First, Second, Third places and Honorable Mention will be featured in two winners recitals a week later.  They will perform one selection from their program and receive  their certificates, trophies or monetary awards.
